Leader personnel evaluated the facility’s storm-sewer discharge monitoring system in response to exceedences of SPDES permit limits for specific VOCs and metals. New sewer flow monitoring equipment was designed and installed to replace previously existing equipment and method. Leader personnel coordinated the remediation of the Storm Sewer System which involved removal, sampling, testing, characterization, segregation, and manifesting of hazardous and non-hazardous waste sediments from the site. We designed an on-site carbon/cyclonic wastewater treatment system for treatment of residual effluent from the sediment dewatering process and prepared a final remediation report that was subsequently approved by NYSDEC.
