Groundwater Remediation - Leader designed and implemented a groundwater extraction and treatment system for this trucking terminal. The remedial system involved treatment of petroleum contaminants from diesel fuel tanks, a gasoline tank, and a waste-oil tank. Given that the contamination was detected at and below the groundwater table, Leader negotiated a groundwater remedial program with NYSDEC, avoiding costly soils excavation and disposal program. Using a combination of bioremediation and limited pumping (for free-phase product), Leader remediated the Site in four months for under $50,000.
